How about you could sign them both depending on the contract, have Crosby do kickoffs and long field goals, have Longwell do short game winning kicks. Honestly, I don’t really trust Crosby to kick field goals. You guys are just mad because he played for the Viqueens.

Longwell is also the guy who was carrying Favre’s helmet for him. How pathetic of both of them… on the Viqueens.

I doesn’t matter who is better, as a Packer fan, I DON’T want Longwell on the team ever again.

He is a backstabber just like Favre was. And he had a lot to do with Favre going to the VIkings, and trash talking the Packers.

WOW! This is a no-brainer! I guess “Matt” gets first dibs on the “short-well” handle, and appropriately. He gave op. kickoff teams a 15 to 20 advantage EVERY TIME! Our defense was starting on the 40 most of the season. Crosby’s been consistent even in WI weather…”Short-well” was a NOT!!

I think we’re missing the big plus with Longwell. He can grab a couple of guys and fly down to Mississippi and talk QB4 into coming out of retirement and….never mind.

Cryin Longwell will never be a winner. He’s the biggest winer in the world. He’s no Packer !!! It’s to bad he ever played here. The Queens are where he belongs, along with the rest of the losers. Ask anybody who ever held for him, if you your able to pry them out from under the bus !

With Crosby’s big leg they regularly make attempts from low percentage range. Of course, he misses most (but not all) which I’m sure plays a part in his lower overall numbers. No such option when Shorty was a Packer. But he was money inside of 40.

The one upside of having an iffy FG kicker is that the offense KNOWS they need touchdowns and won’t necessarily settle for three.

With a potent offense that can move down the field u go with the kicker with the accuracy. Leg strength just got a bit more trivial due to the new kickoff rules. I love Crosby, (mostly just cuz he’s a Packer) but Longwell is the better field goal kicker.
