How far should he be Gary? You have a problem with the draft?
The Packers won the world championship with a slew of injuries. So who gets the credit? The players? coaches? TT? The players gotta do the work, the coaches have to get 2nd and 3rd tier players up to game speed and TT supplies the talent right?
The argument can be made that you can go as far up his ass as you might for MM or AR right?
Unless there's a pinnacle this team didn't reach last year I think it's time to give some praise.

I think a confluence of situations resulted in Lawrence Guy being available in the 7th round. The guy played for Arizona St, a team pretty much devoid of other defensive talent. He was double teamed almost every down. This years draft had an enormous wealth of talent at DL. Put him on a respectable college team on a normal year for DL talent and maybe he gets drafted in the third or fourth. He played very well against the Badgers last year.

Perfect article. I completely agree and have been saying this for awhile. I read that football outsiders article and wondered why people were worrying so much about the DL. I thought Neal looked too good for a second round pick that was considered a reach to some. If he stays healthy and continues to improve I honestly believe there will be little drop off from Cullen to him. CJ Wilson and Green are actually good backups and with Wynn and Guy there will be competition at the back end. A lot relies on Neal though and its true that Green and Wilson could step up but they cant bring that rush that Neal has.
