McNabb Loves Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Vikings Love McNabb
The douchiest team in the NFL… no, sports history, the [intlink id="35" type="category"]Minnesota Vikings[/intlink], need themselves a quarterback. Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb needs a new team after falling out of favor with coach Mike Shanahan.
Well, you can put two and two together, as we did some time ago.
Word came out Saturday that McNabb would like to play for the Vikings next year.
It was revealed on Monday that the Vikings are also interested in McNabb.
Hell, the deal is virtually done. Just get the guy a purple uniform. He’ll look good in purple, considering people often turn that color when they’re choking.
A choker quarterback for a choker team. I really can’t think of anything better!
Actually, these two idiot franchises will have to wait until — altogether now — there’s a new NFL labor deal to do anything.
Unfortunately, the Vikings probably won’t have to give up much for McNabb. During the 2010 season, the Redskins signed him to a contract that pays him $12.75 million this season if he’s on the team’s roster for all 16 games. All but $1.75 million of that money comes in the form of bonuses.
The team will either have to renegotiate McNabb’s deal to make him tradeable, which gives the quarterback leverage in choosing his destination, or release him outright.
So, be prepared to see Donovan McNabb in Vikings’ colors next season.
The rest of the NFC North is certainly shaking in their boots.
