All you "Brent Favre" fans can go watch High School football with all the teenagers making out and cheerleaders dropping each other on the track. Us "Packer" fans will be with our adult friends watching an adult game, the NFL. I've watched Favre ever since he started. He's emotional roller coaster, you can't always count on him. As for Rodgers he is much more consistent and more reliable. I know teenagers like drama, but us adults like consistancy.

I have to agree with the gentlemen posting before me. I live in WI. When Favre went to NY, I started going to a bar with NFL Ticket to watch the games. When he went to MN, I did the same thing (I even made it to the Metrodome for an '09 game against Seattle where he threw 4 TD's.) The season just won't hold the same appeal for me without him to watch - fishing sounds like a great idea on Sundays.

Oh how I wish he would come back. I couldn't get enough of Favre running for his life, holding on to the ball to long, getting slammed, and not to mention that look on his face after throwing a pick. Strolling back to the sideline unbuckling his chin strap avoiding any contact with the coach. Please come back, please!

Wayne, I'm sure it wasn't coincidence that your remark was number 4! I, too, am through with football; it just won't be any fun without Favre. I think your "All Geriatric Team' is an excellent idea!!

I dropped NFL Ticket after Favre retired. He was simply fun to watch and, as an old guy, I was pulling for him all the way. If he came out of retirement I'll re-up NFL Ticket. If he stays retired, I'll go fishing on Sunday afternoons and just check the scores on the Internet. If you want to watch really good football at reasonable prices, go to a high school game or a small college game where the game still is played for fun by kids who love playing. It is cheaper and a lot more fun. Who cares what the Vikes, the Packers, or any other NFL team does in the offseason, if there will even be a season, or changes to NFL rules? Good players are paid too much; third stringers aren't paid enough; and the owners (and the NFL) are gouging the typical fan. So, yeah, I would love to see an all-geriatric team playing because they love doing it. Just imagine getting Barry Sanders, John Riggins, Jerry Rice, and a whole bunch of old guys out of retirement to team up with Favre. I would watch it just to see the glimpses of what was once their greatness. Maybe the NFL owners will cough up a little of the profits from those games to fund the health insurance of all those former players who gave it their all and now and just getting it "all the way" up there. Hey, we could resurrect the old AFL - All old-Farts League.

You need a brain check Ben... Frazier said, and rightly so, "I do not see any scenario where I pick up the phone and call Brett".
Effing Childress jumped with both feet and effed us for years to come, wasting a pretty decent roster with TJoke abd Favre.

" I’d like to think it’s going to benefit a guy like that, not to have to go through the offseason stuff and training camp"

Really? That worked out great last season.
