Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Frank Zombo, who hasn’t played in a game since spraining his posterior cruciate ligament on Dec. 12 at Detroit, finally returned to practice today.
While that’s a boost for the Packers, Zombo’s replacement and the guy who has been outplaying him, Erik Walden, sat out Friday’s session with the sprained ankle that knocked him out of the NFC Championship game.
The Packers were given four days off after their win at Chicago on Sunday, which helped a lot of small injuries heal, according to coach Mike McCarthy.
The team will practice through the weekend before traveling to Dallas. Walden could return then.
