Zombo Is Back, Walden Sits
Welcome back, Frank! Nice of you to join us!
Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Frank Zombo, who hasn’t played in a game since spraining his posterior cruciate ligament on Dec. 12 at Detroit, finally returned to practice today.
While that’s a boost for the Packers, Zombo’s replacement and the guy who has been outplaying him, Erik Walden, sat out Friday’s session with the sprained ankle that knocked him out of the NFC Championship game.
The Packers were given four days off after their win at Chicago on Sunday, which helped a lot of small injuries heal, according to coach Mike McCarthy.
The team will practice through the weekend before traveling to Dallas. Walden could return then.

The ideal would be to have Zombo and Walden available so they can switch off.

Have to wait & see….I just think I’d feel better with Walden…or both.

Robert Francois actually played alright against the Bears. And before anyone disparages this guy, remember he is the one that saved the Packers from the biggest embarrassment in the NFL since the Vikings played in a big game when he tackled Dan Connolly at the four. That play alone warrants some playing time in the Super Bowl.
Zombo has the better sack celebration. On the other hand, I’m not sure he can even tackle BJ-berger. That might be like a toddler trying to tackle me.

I’m not worried at all about our D. A little nervous about the O-line…
My biggest worry about the Super Bowl is special teams (returns & special teams D). I can’t remember has BJackson ever done any time at punt/kick returns? If not, I think he might be a good choice. Scares me to have tramon out there when we need him so much on the corner.
I think Rodgers will come out swinging & play as he usually does in domes.
GO PACK GO!!!
