Barnett And Finley’s Whining Pays Off
Way to go Jermichael!
Green Bay Packers Nick Barnett and Jermichael Finley took issue with the fact the team wasn’t going to include the players on injured reserve in the team’s Super Bowl photo.
They whined about it on Twitter and now that whining has paid off.
The team was initially slated to take the photo on Tuesday, in Dallas. The injured players weren’t scheduled to arrive in Dallas until Thursday.
Now, the Packers will take the photo on Friday in Green Bay.
Thank god this catastrophe has been avoided.
I guess it shows the power of Twitter for a PR-conscious organization.

Here’s a haiku i wrote from the perspective of Jermichael Finley.
I can’t stop crying.
I will never shut my mouth.
My vagina hurts.
Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with Finley. He’s a hell of a player, but the man needs a lesson in humility and respect. If Finley could somehow take over the mentality of GJ85, there would be not limit to his potential.

Lets keep going with the haiku theme.. except with Barnett
I cheat on my wife.
I pay for my girlfriends house.
I am a douche bag.

Come on. Is it that unreasonable for them to want to be included in the photo?
How often does a team make it to the super bowl?

Jimminy click,
My post wasn’t really specifically geared towards the whole photo thing, but more Finley’s personality/work ethic/douchebaggery in general.
I completely understand wanting to be included, but bitching on twitter and taking it public is inappropriate for a professional.
That’s just it, Finley is more a kid than a professional, and that’s where my beef is with him.
The NFL is a league for MEN, not whiny egotistical brats.

so does this mean Justin Harrell will somehow be in the Photo? If so I’m taking to twitter too. I’ve been on Lambeau Field more than he ever has.

One of the things I’m surprised no one has mentioned about all this is that the Packers picked up a free agent player for each player that they placed on injured reserve. So the roster maximum is 53, plus the 8 practice squad guys makes 61 players. When you add the 15 guys on injured reserve, that’s 76 players. Then you add in all the position and strength coaches, and they’re going to have to take this photo from the next county just to get all those guys in frame!

I want that team photo!! Autographed replica of course ;)

We may have not accomplished this much had Jermichael and Nick palyed the entire year. The dynamic of this team right now is fantastic and I don’t know if that would be the case had we not lost those two to injuries. The guy’s that stepped up in thier shoes have done the job superbly and now they are in the Superbowl. The events that have transpired is a culmination of the entire season. We wouldn’t be here without the wins, we wouldn’t be here without the losses. The same goes for the injuries and the guy’s that have stepped up in thier place. We wouldn’t have known who James Starks is hadn’t Ryan Grant been injured. Fate brought us here. Finley and Barnett shouldn’t bitch too much because when we win the Superbowl they will both have a ring on thier finger.

Team pics have always included the IR players in the past and should continue to do so. These players are all just as much as a part of the team and have contributed along the season. Thus you really cannot make an argument that we would be where we are now without them. They were injured as a result of putting their bodies on the line for the team and that should mean something. With that said this controversy has been ended, the players are getting included as they should and so we all should only be thinking as Wood had said “ONE!” Just ONE!!!

I can definitely see their case for being included in the team photo, but to take it public and creating a distraction at this time is the act of a selfish fuck and not a team player. Honestly, if you care about your team you keep it close.
Don’t you think they could have brought it up with one of the leaders of the team to plead their case? Woodson or Rodgers?

To be 23 years old and be where he is, playing with older, seasoned players, He has come a long way and has a long way to go. Give the guy credit! If you were in his shoes, re: the pic, you would open your mouth too! Stop whining until you are PERFECT!!!!
01/29/2011 - 11:23 am
Who’s asking for perfect? I wasn’t a whiney ass when I was 23, why is he allowed to be? I worked with older seasoned vets in my career too.
What are you trying to say?
BTW I”m not the guy whining am I? You can go wash his socks if you love him so much. He’s just a guy that plays a profession where you get alot of attention, he doesn’t do his job any better than I do so I’m allowed to say he’s a selfish fuck, which he is.
Also, I called it right, the Captains got it done, he didn’t need to air his whines in the public eye.
