Clay Matthews: Don’t Touch The Hair
The locks of destiny
Oh, wait. It was Tony Manero who uttered, “Don’t touch the hair!”
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews may be saying it next, though.
We first heard about Matthews’ desire for some sort of hair-related endorsement deal prior to the Packers thrashing of the Dallas Cowboys in an interview with Bob Costas. At the time, I wasn’t exactly sure if Matthews was serious or not.
Apparently, Matthews is serious.
A nugget in today’s Journal Sentinel said Matthews’ representatives are not only working on a shampoo deal, but are also looking to have Matthews’ hair insured to the tune of $5 million.
As stupid as that sounds, Pittsburgh Steelers safety and Head & Shoulders spokesman Troy Polamalu has his locks insured by Lloyds of London for $1 million.
What makes Matthews’ hair worth more isn’t really clear.

Clay Matthews can have a Princess Leia ‘do for all I care as long as he’s the fast-rising best linebacker in the League.

He’s the best linebacker in the league. His hair is what makes him look so scary.
