Peprah will remain the starter.

Green Bay Packers strong safety Atari Bigby saw his first action of the season in the Packers’ last game, but he didn’t return to the starting lineup after his return from the physically unable to perform list.

Charlie Peprah, initially an injury replacement for rookie Morgan Burnett, remained in the role. It looks like Peprah won’t be handing the job over to Bigby, either.

In his first press conference since last Monday, coach Mike McCarthy was asked if having both Bigby and Peprah was a good problem. The question was followed with the comment, “It doesn’t look like he’s going to give up his spot to Atari without a fight.”

“I agree with your opinion. Charlie has played the best football Charlie Peprah has played as a Green Bay Packer, and that’s exciting,” McCarthy said. “He’s done a very good job. He’s an excellent communicator. He’s done a very good job down around the box. He’s tackling better than I’ve seen him tackle. He’s had a chance to get healthy. He was banged up in the beginning of the season. He’s played very well for us the last three or four weeks.”

Peprah has 28 tackles on the season and has played solid against the pass, with the exception of his first start against Washington.
