1) The Jets are good.
2) The Jets are coming off their bye week.
3) The Packers are banged up.
4) Adrian Peterson ran wild on us last week.
5) Our coach is prone to making poor statistical decisions.

I could go on.

But that’s not the point. The point is we still match up pretty well against the Jets because of our cornerbacks. Defensively we need to strap this game firmly to the backs of Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams, stack the box early and often, and pray to the heavens that getting the monkey off his back is just what Aaron Rodgers needed.

We need to play a very conservative, field position game. We need to run the ball at least 27-30 times. We need Mastay to be very effective today.

And…we need to stop Sexy Rexy from trickery and formations involving Brad Smith. This variable scares me more than anything else about the Jets.

If…we stack the box, run the ball, Woodson plays well…

AND McNutty doesn’t eff it all up. We have a chance…but all of those pieces won’t fall into place.
