He wanted out.

It wasn’t because they didn’t want him anymore.

I don’t blame him. He didn’t want to sit around there and compete for the #2 spot, when he felt he could get a shot in the NFL. Especially since he is a far better passer than the current starter for Saskatchewan. Now he is getting his shot…hopefully.
