His ball awareness is a little suspect, but I think that will improve. When he did get beat in coverage this year, it seemed like he was in perfect position but just couldn’t find the ball in time.

He’s a very average player, a good third corner. If you watch the game tape of Williams performance (wiffed tackle on the 2nd Doucet TD) in the Playoffs he should be happy he got the 3mil tender. He would be restricted even in a capped year. Football Outsiders has him ranked “46th out of 82 corners in success rate, 55th in yards per pass… despite spending much of the year as the nickel back covering lesser receivers.”
