Bill forget Favre. Thompson has made some serious blunders but that’s the least of them. Drafting stiffs like Harrell is what got us here.

8-8 or 9-7 sounds about right for GB’s final record. But that shouldn’t be too big of a disappointment: I saw them at 9-7 when the season began. I know many had higher hopes, but I think that ignored some basic issues this team entered the season with, mainly the OL, S and the transition to the 3-4 defense.

Rogers isn’t the problem. We have no offensive line or at least not one that can deal with Jared Allen. We are what Ted Thompson created. We will be cursed for years because we threw Favre out of town. We never would have been anything without him and most of the great free agents we had wouldn’t have come if it wasn’t for his urging. It’s over for us and we deserve it. Years of mediocrity will follow. Players will be drafted by us and will be counting the days until they can leave just like it was before. Head coaches can again threaten players with the ole, “Shut up or I’ll send you to Green Bay.” Nice work Ted.

Two elements that would easily move the Pack up a tier is if Rodgers emerges as a hero, one that converts on 3rd, goes long and opens up a defense, and wins games in the 4th. The other is the defensive ability to score points and cause turn overs. We have aggressive players who want to win. Let them.
