The Last Time An Opposing Player Did The Lambeau Leap
The last opposing player to try a Lambeau Leap wasn’t received so warmly.
His name was Fred Smoot. He played cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings.
After picking off a Brett Favre pass during a late-season Thursday night game in the 2007 season, Smoot took it to the house. After a brief pause to kneel down, Smoot decided to try a Lambeau Leap.
Smoot was rejected like Kareem Abdul Jabbar blocking a shot by Danny Ainge.
I suspect Ochocinco would get rejected in a similar manner, but our readers had some other interesting suggestions yesterday. Some of the more humorous ones involved the ball sack – and not the ball sack they carry the footballs around in.
You won’t see it until the end of this video, but take a look at Fred Smoot getting the rejection. Any additional suggestions on what should happen to Ochocinco are welcome, but I think we have anything related to balls covered.
