Remember when Hulk Hogan went to the dark side late in his career? It's about fun and drama. Professional football is not wrestling, but it's still entertainment. We have sold over 2,000 Judas Favre t-shirt jerseys. It's all in good fun. He is the villian now and his sole reason to be on the Vikings is to beat the PACK. It's not about the induction ceremony or a good 16 years. This year, right now... he is the villian.

I agree with most of what you say, though for this not so much. It is a business to Favre... but to many fans like myself and my family, it is the one event that binds us as far as what we agree on. When the Packers score, we are all there to celebrate together, when Favre left GB we all felt apart of us leaving... loyally watching football for the 17+ years he has been around, for better or worse. This same loyalty we have for our team is similar to family loyalty, Favre has none, like we all praised he did just 3-4 years ago. He proved us wrong and that's what made us look like idiots. I don't necessarily believe in wearing black to the game, though in a few years from now we will not forget his disloyal actions, "antics" is too friendly of a word. My child will learn of Packer loyalty, Packer unity and team spirit, not the business of the game. Unfortunately it will always exist, though so will loyal Packer football fans. Thanks for your insight always:)

For most people, it's all in fun. When's the last time we've had a single player to be the villain in the NFC north? Granted, some people can take it too far, but they're going to be crazy about something, and football's a pretty harmless outlet. It's great drama.
