Brett Favre Drama Is Over – At Least For Now
We may not see this again, at least for a few weeks.
Brett Favre will not join the Minnesota Vikings, according to coach Brad Childress.
Childress sent a text message to the Associated Press confirming as much.
While I think we can all breathe a big sigh of relief that all of this nonsense and bullshit is over with (again), I don’t think it will change the view of Brett Favre for a lot of Green Bay Packers’ fans, myself included.
Because I am tired of Brett Favre, and tired of this saga, I will just refer you to this previous post on the subject.
Ultimately, Favre didn’t feel his body could hold up for an entire NFL season. Either that, or he just doesn’t want to participate in training camp – but that’s just my speculation.
“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Favre told ESPN. “I didn’t feel like physically I could play at a level that was acceptable.”
“I had to be careful not to commit for the wrong reasons. They were telling me, ‘You went through all this, you had the surgery and you’ve got to finish it off.’ But I have legitimate reasons for my decision. I’m 39 with a lot of sacks to my name.”
So, how long do you think it will be before Brett Favre gets the itch to play again? Next offseason? Midseason? When Sage Rosenfels throws his first interception?

I think Favre will be sending text messages out either right before or right after week one…
