Ted has done a nice job decimating our once strong dline. “But the Packers weren’t even close to the Seahawks offer”. I’m all for the youth movement, but at some point you have to keep some of these guys past their rookie contract. If he F’s up the Jennings deal, we’re throwing his no ‘comment on that’ ass into the bay.

Yes – I considered Bernard, but he’s from a 4-3 system where he played defensive tackle. He’s not nearly big enough to occupy the nose tackle slot in a 3-4, and he’s probably not a fit to move to defensive end either. Size-wise, he looks like Justin Harrell, and I don’t think we’re going to have a spot for Harrell either.

McCheesehead…what about Rocky Bernard? I really like that guys motor and he has been a bright spot for a lackluster Seahawks defense. He brings productive run stuffing as well as pass rushing/ pressure ability. Also, don’t they need to take a closer look at someone like Derrick Ward. Obviously, a change of pace RB is required with Grant & Jackson being the only two decent or viable backs on their roster. They can have an all NY Giants backfield! Watch for a potential surprise at #9 in the draft. I would look at Mr. Moreno there or Brandon Pettigrew. Predictably, Teddy T will go with a LB/DE hybrid or Corner at that spot.

Great work Monty. Predictably, the Redskins are already taking players off the board. Haynesworth and Hall are gone. Not that the Packers were going to make a run at them anyway… I see them holding off for a couple weeks and then approaching the likes of McFadden, Igor and Canty if no one has scooped them up. Of all the people on the list, I’d love for them to scoop up Koch. Poor punting cost us multiple games last season. It would be good to put that issue to bed.
